I prefer Preply they care about their tutors and students equally and they will refund the student their money. I told them if they could refund the student’s money and they never responded to that question. So I tried to let support know about my issues with the site they did noting to fix them then when I asked to cancel my tutor account they told me I had to finish all my lessons with the 1 student.
I realize I didn’t want to continue with this platform pretty much straight way, unfortunately I had already made some money from the 1 student I had. They told me I had to have more available hours, but my availability shouldn’t have anything to do with having my profile be visible 24/7. I did 1 lesson with them, but realized I wasn’t getting views and I tried contacting them about it. Long story short I had 1 student which paid for 5 lessons with me. What’s the point if I can’t advertise myself. My profile was never visible to students once I would log off. What if we give our friendship another chance? Please stick with us for a bit longer to see how we are getting better for you. Also, the support team with lightning speed blocks such users, so it’s essential to report them. Luckily we are about to create a feature to ban users at some point. You shouldn’t reply to spam messages, but you need to read them so we can know you are active.
To keep only active tutors in the LiveXP catalog, we temporarily hide the profiles of tutors if they do not read messages within 24 hours or don’t check the platform for a long time. Usually, tutors responding with long delays or not responding at all receive fewer bookings. In other words, it affects the number of bookings from you. However, the speed of answering students’ messages influences how much they will trust you. Spamming is a pain for most online services with a messenger in their arsenal.
